“Looking For A Problem To Solve”

Today’s “Millennial To Watch” is Cassidy Robertson.

Who Is Cassidy?
Cassidy is an intrapreneur at Axiom Zen (a unique startup studio in Canada named one of its country’s most innovative companies) where she focuses on VR-related technologies. She started her first business at the age of 10 and has been named one of Canada’s “Top 10 Entrepreneurs Under 25″. I’m happy to say I met her on a dance floor in NYC at a morning dance party series called Daybreaker!

Why Should You Care?
Cassidy has a unique ability to learn things quickly, and any entrepreneur, student, investor, or person wishing to find new problems to solve and acquire new skills should use Cassidy as a case study in doing so. I’ve always been impressed with her rapid-learning abilities and sense of adventure, which normally go hand in hand when taking on new challenges.

What You Can Learn From Cassidy?

  • Ask her how she goes about finding problems to solve and picking up new skills (hint: at the beginning of the year, she wrote out 52 different things she wanted to make, challenges she wanted to take on, and places she wanted to visit in a manner of experimentation and self-awareness).
  • How to volunteer for caused you care about in ways that actually matter and create impact.
  • How to best apply for and make best use of coding schools like Flatiron School in NYC, where she is a happy grad.
